Weekend Challenge | October 2011

I know that it’s still September today, but tomorrow starts October.

Seriously.

I’m sure I say this every month, but how the heck can each month fly by so fast?

But so it has and now October is here and it’s time for another weekend challenge! I was looking at Design Seeds again this week (it’s just so pretty, I can’t help myself!) and I found another color palette that made me want to run to my scraproom and create something. With that strong of a reaction, I thought it would be the perfect thing to challenge myself to work with this weekend.

Without further ado, here is the inspiration:

I’m not usually attracted to pastel shades, but something about this combination just drew me right in. So I’ll go with it and see if I can find anything in my stash that will work. I have a box of scrapbook goodies that should be delivered today (yeah!) so if there’s nothing in the stash, maybe there will be something new to use!

I’m so looking forward to this weekend. My new (temporary) job is going great so far. I had forgotten how much I love working in real estate. Negotiating leases for a retail store is something I’ve never done, but it’s fun and challenging! And I’m figuring out all over again just how super productive you have to make the precious weekend hours if you want to get all the errands and chores done and fit in some crafting too.

Do you have any big plans or are you going to relax? Whatever you do, I hope you work in a little crafting time too!

Have a great weekend!
