Use Your Stash | Cosmo Cricket Spinner Cards

Happy Friday! I’ve got another Use Your Stash post for you today.

Just a quick layout share today. Remember my post from the other day when I showed you that I created a storage bin for older product? Well, I’m happy to say that this layout was inspired by two of those products.

Supplies: Paper – Kraft cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Cogsmo collection pattern papers (discontinued). Embellishments: Silhouette shape Gears_0756, TPC Studio metal gears, Cosmo Cricket Spinner card (discontinued). Tools: Quickutz Studio and Metro alphabets (discontinued), Cuttlebug, Silhouette SD, Sew Easy, American Crafts Precision Pen.

This was exactly what I was hoping would happen. I’d look in there, see something that I needed to use and it would spark a layout idea. When I purchased this Spinner Card from Cosmo Cricket, I had my nephew Kyle in mind. Add a package of gears from TPC Studio and the idea is born. It only took a few minutes to find three photos, some pattern paper and to start this layout.

I LOVE THAT.

I’ve been so busy organizing lately that I haven’t had a lot of time to scrapbook this week, but I was able to put this  layout together in a snap. Granted, there’s little to no journaling, but I don’t think that every layout has to have a deep and meaningful story (more on that next week). What this page does is capture his personality, utilizes some older products and makes me smile.

Sometimes, that’s enough.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a fanstastic, creative and fun weekend.

  11. So glad your organizing is translating into productivity! I agree about the journaling – every page does not have to have deep, deep meaning and contain a short novel. Looking forward to your thoughts on journaling.
