Things I’ll Miss About TN | A Scrapbook Layout

Last week I shared a 10 Things list about things I would miss about living in Tennessee. It seemed like the perfect subject for a layout too! How much easier can it be to create a layout based on a blog post when all the writing is already done?

I love these Ten Things pockets that come with many of Little Yellow Bicycle’s collections. It was the perfect element for this page. Not all of my memories of Tennessee are great, but I felt it was important to find the silver lining and to remember the positive things.

Before I started this layout I was sorting through supplies and came across last year’s Twig collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. I vaguely remember that I was holding these papers to the side to do something “special” with. But I have no idea what for!

The lesson? When you love a product, don’t hold it to the side for some rainy day. Use it right away! It will be far more loved in your scrapbooks than sitting on the shelf unused.

Do you ever create layouts from something you blog about?

Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Nice! Way to use that Twig collection. Also great to document the happy memories, I’m not much of one for dwelling on the negative.

  5. I love this layout! I think I’m going to steal this idea when we move out of Chicago next January!

Its such a great idea to make a layout based on a blog post, I’m going to do a layout about the Valentine’s Day flower drama we have been having, and I keep updating the timeline of drama on yesterday’s post. It actually has been working really well, since I can just print it out and use it on my layout and I don’t have to relive it all by re typing it out!

  7. Great idea for a LO – and it came out well. Twig is one of my all-time favorites. Love the stuff and am still hoarding a bunch (though I used it on at least 1 LO so far)

  8. I’ve come to the “use it” realization, too. Had a layout the other week and used probably 10 swirls of rhinestones. What was I saving them for? I have hoards of stuff & I’m just going to go for it!
