Ten Things | July 2012

It’s the 10th of the month and every 10th, a group of us link up over at Shimelle.com to share ten things. I am also hopping with Natalie over at Almost Never Clever to share some recent photos from my cell phone so if you arrived from there — Welcome! There is a full list of participants at the end of this post, so please, continue to hop along.

I mentioned recently that I finally joined instagram. It was mostly to see if it would prompt me to take more photos when I’m out and about. Indeed, I haveΒ been capturing more photos on my phone, so I guess it’s working. This month I am sharing 10 new photos from instagram (apologies to anyone who has already seen them!):

Project Life updating.

A favorite lunch spot in Orlando and much needed time out with a friend.

Living by the airport I see the planes come and go. All day long.

Apple crisp is in order!

Right before a desperately needed hair cut. No after photo yet.

Typical Friday night in my world.

Early morning walk. Before the sweltering heat sets in.

Good morning.

Pretty tree. Just because.

Trying something new…

I have been enjoying instagram more than I thought I would. It’s kind of fun to get a peek at what other people are doing during their day. It’s just one more way to keep in touch. ButΒ I am finding that it’s like any other social media site and I don’t have a lot of time to spend on any of them. I keep thinking I need to get back into Twitter and then I always forget. But maybe when that job comes along and I can relax, I’ll get in on the discussions again.

So are you into instagram? If you leave me your user name in the comments, I’ll follow. Β You can find me @tammyd119 on instagram… unlike twitter where I am @tdailor.

If you are following the Almost Never Clever cell phone photo blog hop, next up is Ginger at Ginger’s Life of Spice. And here’s a full list of participants so that you don’t miss one!

  1. Really great photos, Tammy.
I do love instagram and am working on a instagram mini right now.
I think it makes my phone photos more fun.
Honestly though I am not on instagram very much, so not sure what my user name is. I will have to check!

  3. Hi Tammy! Nice to “meet” you through the blog hop. I’m the last stop on the list.

I started using Instagram a few months ago, but find that there’s just so much social media to keep up with – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr. Not sure if I want to keep up with it all!

I will definitely follow you on Instagram – you can find me @jemalme there or @downhomesj on Twitter.

By the way, I like your hair in the “before” photo – we really need to see the “after” photo now πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you – the hair…well, I’ll work on the after photo this week! πŸ™‚ I live in Florida and my hair is really thick which = HOT. So it was a trim and thinning out the ends. Much better now! πŸ™‚

  4. Fun post! I had a blast with Instagram at our Fourth of July concert. Next for me is to actually print and scrap some of those photos.

    • I haven’t printed any yet but I’ll have to figure that out soon. I’ll probably print these at home. You’ll have some fun getting your photos from the concert down — rain and all! πŸ™‚

  6. Agree with Jen – you’re “before” photo is so cute, I want to see the after! I do bet it’s probably better to get it cut due to the heat though!

I really like your pictures! I need to experiment with taking a couple more photos while walking – I like how you got the shadow!

    Thanks for participating!

    • Yes – mostly due to the heat. But also my hair is thick so I don’t get the volume I like as it gets longer. It just limps and the humidity kills it. So a trim was much needed! πŸ™‚ Will work on the after this week…

I had just learned what Instagram was all about. My daughter uses it and has just signed my hubby up to it.
Me I don’t have it as I have an ancient phone. I think it may take photos, but I don’t know or care to learn how to use it, lol.
One day I will be up with the cool kids, teehee.
