Summer Card

I have a quick project to share today.

My brand new summer distress colors arrived the other day and I was wondering if they would show up on kraft paper. I got out some flower stamps, gave it a try and was thrilled too see that these colors are bright enough for kraft paper! I added in some white flowers for contrast and it’s such a fun, happy background I had to turn it into this super simple card.

I’m not a huge fan of pink, but I do like deep saturated tones in any color. I’ve been wanting a distress ink in magenta for a long time and this raspberry color does not disappoint! I love the other colors too – I can never have enough blues and greens.

I really love the look of colors on a kraft background. I’ve only made stamped backgrounds like this for cards, but I think it might be time to try it on a larger piece of cardstock and put it on a layout. Adding that to my to do list!

Other: Hampton Art Ditto flower stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
