I have a quick layout to share today.
Last week I shared a layout comparing Halloween photos of my nephews from different time periods. I love Then & Now layouts and the way it takes the focus away from the who, what, where, etc… details about each photo and gives you a chance to go deeper.
The photos for today’s layout come from a huge pile of Disney photos (from 2009!) that I’m working through. I used a sketch from Shimelle and came up with this:
My intent for these photos wasn’t capturing the specific details because this layout will be included in a section of my album all about this specific trip. I really wanted to create a fun layout that highlights how sweet and crazy these boys are. What sprang to mind was that every time we take a serious photo, they insist on taking a crazy photo too. (That is a trade I can live with!)
Just saying it that way reminded me of Newton’s third law of motion. Of course, I had to look it up online to make sure my memory was correct. I’m happy to say that my high school and college education are still working for me! I’m certainly not a science buff by any stretch but that idea was the perfect way to frame my journaling and it helped me with the title too.
Other: American Crafts brads, sketch from shimelle.com.
Always be on the look out for unique journaling and title ideas. You never know where you’ll find them! Do you have any tips for creating fun titles?
Thanks for stopping by today!
