This story has been on my list of layouts to complete for a long time. Sometimes it takes a few years for me to get around to certain photos and certain stories. But I have discovered that when I have prints ready to go, I will actually scrapbook them. (Yes, that is encouragement to get your photos printed, if you don’t print them yourself at home.) I included this photo with my last Shutterfly order and once it was printed, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.
My goal in creating this layout was to showcase the collection of books across the top. Are your kids obsessed with a series of books or movies? Why not include photos or prints of the collection along with a photo of your child participating in the activity? This is a great way to document something they are interested in.
No one was more surprised than me that I actually enjoyed reading the Harry Potter series. Before February 2010 I hadn’t read one book or seen any of the movies. But when your 9-year old nephew issues a challenge to read them, what choice do you have but to start reading?
How do you scrapbook your collections?
By the way, that purple flower that does not in any way match or go with my layout indicates that I created this layout for my Twelve Big Picture class.
