I Love Teal | A Scraplifted Layout

Well, today is the final day in my mini scraplifting series. Which means we are also nearing the end of January… That was fast!

Here is my final scraplifted layout, based on the layout in this post.

It was all about the grid. How can you not be inspired by a grid?

I had so much fun making this layout. Teal (or Aqua – I go back and forth between the two names) is my favorite color. Probably because it is a cross between blue and green. If I could have two more favorite colors, they would be blue and green. So Teal (or Aqua) is an easy compromise.

Instead of squares on the grid, I went with smaller circles.

Here is the one time that having embellishments sorted by color can be a good thing. It was fun to go through my stash and just pull out the pretty teal (aqua) items. Not only do the circles help capture and ground the embellishments, but they also give the design  order so that the random collection of things does not feel chaotic.

Once again, I left no room for journaling. That can be a problem for me. I added a tag to that cute bag with the hot air balloon. Pockets and tags are so convenient for journaling when you have more fun playing with embellishments and titles and forget to leave room.

I have actually used a  similar design on other pages in the past. When it works, it works!

What is your favorite color? Have you thought to document it on a scrapbook page?

Thank you so much for joining me on this little journey. I thought that things were going to slow down a bit in February but I am not so sure now. In any event, I now have a new strategy when I get behind. Select one of my own favorite pages and scraplift it!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Fun, fun page…and celebrating my favorite color too! Love all the circle embellishment clusters!

  2. Wow, wow, wow, Tammy! I love all of the circles and the focus on one color. Amazing page!

  3. I love giving embellishments a “home” on a bunch of circles! Nicely done!

  4. Oh I love this, Tammy!!
    So pretty!

  5. Love!! I love the teal. I love all the goodies in the circle. You are adorable. And I LOVE that rose trim – it all came together great!

  6. Real cute selfie pic of you! Adorable. I like navy blue, greens, teal and gray. I also like circles tho I’ve been having a hard time finding place for them on my latest pages. Been focusing on some new techniques. I’m having trouble figuring out the grid format too and how to translate that to paper. January did go by fast. Enjoy your February! Michelle t

  7. What a lovely layout – beautiful color! My favorite color is yellow & yes, I’ve scrapped about it a few times.

  8. those circles full of goodness and fabulous!

  9. Another great layout.
Love the colour and I like the use of your circles.
That is a wonderful photo of you.
I love all colours, but seem to have a thing for red…but it has to be the right colour of red.

  10. You and I must be thinking alike. I just painted my studio teal, I just finished a couple of teal layouts and I keep buying teal supplies!
