Well, today is the final day in my mini scraplifting series. Which means we are also nearing the end of January… That was fast!
Here is my final scraplifted layout, based on the layout in this post.
It was all about the grid. How can you not be inspired by a grid?
I had so much fun making this layout. Teal (or Aqua – I go back and forth between the two names) is my favorite color. Probably because it is a cross between blue and green. If I could have two more favorite colors, they would be blue and green. So Teal (or Aqua) is an easy compromise.
Instead of squares on the grid, I went with smaller circles.
Here is the one time that having embellishments sorted by color can be a good thing. It was fun to go through my stash and just pull out the pretty teal (aqua) items. Not only do the circles help capture and ground the embellishments, but they also give the design order so that the random collection of things does not feel chaotic.
Once again, I left no room for journaling. That can be a problem for me. I added a tag to that cute bag with the hot air balloon. Pockets and tags are so convenient for journaling when you have more fun playing with embellishments and titles and forget to leave room.
I have actually used a similar design on other pages in the past. When it works, it works!
What is your favorite color? Have you thought to document it on a scrapbook page?
Thank you so much for joining me on this little journey. I thought that things were going to slow down a bit in February but I am not so sure now. In any event, I now have a new strategy when I get behind. Select one of my own favorite pages and scraplift it!
Thanks for stopping by today!
