Happy Halloween | A Card

It’s been a long time since I have shared cards, so in honor of World Making Card Day this past Saturday, I created several. I’ll be needing a bunch of different cards with the holidays coming up and it’s never too soon to get a head start on the holidays!

For today I was in a ghosts and goblins kind of mood.

OK, more like spiders. I’ve had this chipboard piece for awhile and thought it needed a fun web to go along. That is really the best thing about the Silhouette. When ever you need a particular shape, chances are you will find it in their online store. I found exactly what I wanted and was able to size it perfectly to fit my card. I made the crescent moon shape, I punched one circle and then put it back in the punch to carefully punch the notch. To add some pizzazz, I outlined both of my shapes with some Stickles.

To get some added texture, I embossed a piece of black cardstock with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder. It’s hard to see in a photo but I used the grungy brick wall folder designed by Tim Holtz. I also inked the edges with some white ink to make it stand off the background a bit.

Other: LYB word sticker, Colorbok chipboard spider.

Thanks for stopping by today!
