From Boots To Flip Flops | A Scrapbook Layout

I have a quick page to share today. I wanted to get in one more summer page before the un-official end of summer. (NOT that summer is ending in Florida. Around the end of October we’ll get our first cold front that will cool us from the 90’s to the 80’s). But as the calendar turns to September, everyone else has an eye out for the coming autumn.

This page celebrates my happiness over leaving a colder winter climate.

I was only in Nashville for five years, but one winter was long enough for me to grow a sudden appreciation for just how spoiled I was with Florida winters. I absolutely will miss the change of season and fall colors in October, but in December when the sun is shining and it’s 78 degrees and beautiful in Orlando? I’ll be one happy camper!

No sketch for this one. I knew I wanted my photos in this orientation. I have used this collection, so I had already cut out all of the cards and elements. I laid out my photos, started layering up the cards and everything came together. I wish every page was this easy!

Do you have any special plans for the upcoming un-official end of summer holiday weekend?

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. This is such a great topic and fun layout!
I do like having seasons, but don’t like winter.
Do not like the cold. So the weather where you are sounds very nice 🙂
I love flip flops and wear them a lot in the summer.
So it would make a good topic for me just going from cold to warm weather 🙂

  4. What a great layout. This is such a fun page.
I would trade my boots in for flip flops any day. And when I say winter boots I mean heavy duty winter boots, lol.

  6. What a fun layout – we do get a little bit of winter here, but it’s different every year. Last year we didn’t even get below freezing, but the year before we had three snowfalls!! I do like to wear my boots when I can . . . but it’s more fun to wear them when we travel than to NEED them here at home!
