I mentioned the other day how I adore paper lines made on kraft paper. It should be no surprise that I also love the Fresh Goods line from Pebbles. The patterns in this collection are printed on kraft and cream backgrounds. If you love the white on kraft patterns (I know I am not alone), this line has several to choose from!
I couldn’t stop myself from digging into this collection over the weekend. I haven’t had a lot of extra time to craft these days, so I really needed a warm up project to get my creative juices flowing again.
I love that making cards give me a project that I can start and finish fairly quickly. And it’s a great way to dig in and play with new supplies if you don’t really know how you plan to use them yet. Who knows how long these papers will be in my stash? Rather than waiting for that perfect photo I probably haven’t even taken yet, I cut off a small piece of one pattern (there’s still plenty for a layout later!) and had some fun creating.
This card came together so quickly. The greeting is right out of the chips package, I inked the edges of the pattern paper and popped it off the card with some dimensional squares. I really wanted to add some twine so I left plenty of room at the bottom of the block to tie it on. And for the finishing touch, I added some white dashed lines — that show up so well on the red cardstock — around the borders of the card. It couldn’t have been easier.
And it was the perfect warm up because I immediately moved on to other projects that I’ll share later this week in a new Use Your Stash post!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
