Hello! I’m still taking a nice long break for the holidays, but wanted to pop in real quick before I head out to run some errands. I hope everyone had a great holiday. Mine was quiet as we didn’t have family visiting this year. I spent a few days with my parents and after Skyping with my brother and nephews on Christmas day, we ended up at the movies and saw Parental Guidance with Billy Crystal and Bette Midler. It was fabulous!
I have two finished layouts to shared from an earlier post: Finishing Starting Points.
Both pages are super simple in their design, with just a few added embellishments. What I love about the concept of starting points is that I use up scraps that are on my desk from other layouts and create a background to use later. The design is very general so that when I select photos later, the design can accommodate what ever I need. And since the background is already done, all you have to do is add photos, some embellishing and your journaling.
I completed both of these starting points in under an hour. I can’t remember the last time I put together two layouts in under an hour! It’s really a refreshing way to scrapbook. I probably won’t scrap this way all the time, but it’s a great way to mix up my process with something different and it’s a great way to use up scraps. Next week, I’ll share the last two completed layouts from my original post.
Thanks for stopping by today!
