This year, I wasn’t up to doing a December Daily. But I still wanted an album of some sort to document the things that will make up my last Christmas in Tennessee. When I was working on my tags from the December Challenge, the idea for this pocket mini album came to me.
I used 2 sheets of 12×12 kraft paper as the base for each page. I cut each sheet into 6×12 pieces and folded each at about 4.75 inches to form four pocket pages. I knew I was going to use Echo Park’s Season’s Greetings 6×6 paper pad on this mini, so by keeping the width of the pocket at six inches, there was very little trimming needed to decorate the pages.
Two Ranger #5 tags fit perfectly into each pocket. I plan to use them for journaling and maybe even a few cropped photos. There’s also room to slip in a letter to Santa (I have a few things on the wish list this year…and who can’t use a little Santa magic this time of year?) and other notes, like the Christmas menu.
On the reverse side of each pocket page there is room for a 4×6 photo. I ended up using the tags I created a few weeks ago as a title in front of each pocket page. There are four tags and four pocket pages.
I kept the embellishing to a minimum but I plan to add some more things as I fill the album up with photos and journaling. I punched a hole in the top of each pocket and attached it all with a big binder ring from the office supply section of my Walmart. I added a few Christmas ribbon and this mini is ready to be filled.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
As Christmas approaches, I hope everyone is touched by a little holiday magic!
