Audacious Style | A Scrapbook Layout

Today I can share the layout I was working on earlier this week. It didn’t turn out quite out the way I saw it in my head. This layout could have benefited from an overnight break, but sometimes you just want to press on and finish it. So that’s what I did!

I love to showcase random photos like these and it is so easy for me to do as I store my printed photos in categories (in the Stacy Julian Library of Memories format). I was flipping through Kyle’s section, looking for something unrelated when I started to notice photo after photo with his crazy hair. As quickly as that, a layout honoring his personality was born.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to add misting to my layout but was halfway through before I remembered. Because I had the mists out on my table early in the process, they actually made it onto this layout! I used the white Mister Huey along with the new sherbet color. The primer cards made for perfect embellishments and I sewed them on with the new Random stitch pattern for the Sew Easy tool. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the funky pattern, but it’s really fun.

Other: Core’dinations cardstock, AC Serenade Thickers, Gathered Twigs distress ink, DMC floss, Fiskars Star punch.

Do you have any fun plans for the upcoming weekend? I have the usual chores and errands and maybe some shopping for something new to wear to my upcoming interview. I still have another week to get prepared for it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  5. I’m totally in the press on mindset right now. I know I should sit and contemplate a bit more, but I really want to finish!
