Well, another weekend is over and another weekend has gone by with very little crafting accomplished. I keep thinking things are going to slow down so I can catch up but it’s just lightning speed ahead. All. The. Time.
I have just a super quick page to share today:
(Not sure what is up with the weird colors. The settings on my camera were off and I didn’t notice it until I uploaded the photos. It’s dark now. Not chancing another shoot without natural light so weird colors it is…)
I had these photos that my sister in law shot of my nephew at one of his first Cross Country meets. He’s following in his Dad’s footsteps as my brother ran Cross Country one year in high school too. Of course his Mom is also a runner now, too. He just can’t escape it! After I matted these photos on a white background, I kept the rest of the page super simple. Just that one pattern paper with the torn edge along the left side.
A torn edge? Yes, indeed. It’s been a long time — years maybe? — since I’ve torn an edge like this. That used to be *the* coolest technique around. Since the paper has a white core, tearing it to expose the edge was the perfect treatment to give it a little something extra.
I added some brief journaling to that fun ticket journaling spot. And aren’t the feet clips adorable? I’ve had them in my stash for several years. I think I got them at Staples? So glad they’ve been hanging out just waiting for this page. I also added a few embellishments from my pre-made drawer (you may recognize them from this post). And a few little enamel dots and labels to finish off the page.
Once in awhile (OK, it’s more frequent lately) I love creating a simple page like this. It only took me about 30 minutes. I had the chance to get my fingers on some paper, to play and to be productive right until I had to run out the door.
How are things in your world?
Thanks for stopping by today!
