Welcome to Your Memory Connection! My name is Tammy and I have a passion for pretty paper.
It all started about 15 years ago when a friend showed me how she was combining her photos, memorabilia and stories together in a scrapbook. My mind was instantly churning with ideas. My memorabilia was wasting away in static-cling albums. My photos were scattered in 3-up albums. And I had always kept journals. The idea of being able to include my concert ticket stubs along with photos of the event and my own commentary on one page was…sheer brilliance!
Just a little about me. I grew up in Spokane, Washington. To this day, the Pacific Northwest is one of my very favorite places on earth. I moved to Orlando, Florida during my college years. It’s sunny and warm here. And there is no snow. So I stayed. With the exception of a five year detour in Nashville, Tennessee, I have been here ever since!
I am a left-brained number cruncher by trade so the way I approach scrapbooking might be different from others. I am all about process, how I do things, why I make certain choices and how to contain the overwhelming volume of photos and supplies. My goal is to make the entire thing easier, but to still have fun doing it.
I started this blog in the fall of 2010, after I had been laid off from my big fancy corporate job. I had time on my hands…a lot of time. I quickly discovered that as long as I had pretty paper to play with and photos and stories to document, I could keep myself busy during my job search.
I’m back to work now. Unfortunately, that means less and less crafty time. I don’t post as much as I used to, but I promise I am still working on projects and will share them as time allows. I love the online papercrafting community and I’m so grateful for the friendships I’ve made through this blog. Many thanks to all that keep coming back to see what I’m up to.
On to the crafting!
