The other day, I shared the masking technique I used to create a fun background. Today, I’m sharing the finished layout I created with that background.
These are the few photos I have from the night I went out with a friend to celebrate my birthday last month. We hit a trendy spot…then couldn’t get a table for 2 hours. It’s a good thing we dressed appropriately because we ended up at the outside bar on one of the coldest nights of the year. Yes, it can get cold in Florida too.
Some of the masked squares are half covered by the photos, but that is exactly what I was going for — a scattering of elements in the background. I wanted the title to make a statement so I mixed a few different Thicker alphabets with an October Afternoon Mini Market alphabet.
All of the floral and banner stickers come from the sticker sheet in Echo Park’s Beautiful Life collection pack. Rather than adhering stickers straight to the background flat, I add foam adhesive to give them some lift and dimension. And when a sticker is too big for the area where you need it, you can always cut it in half like I did with the large flower cluster above.
I am really happy with how this one turned out! Can’t wait to use the gelatos again on another layout.
Thanks for stopping by today!
