A Day at the Louvre | A Scrapbook Layout

I actually have a layout to share today!

I gave the crafting a bit of a break over the holidays. Not for any particular reason, really, but just because it worked out that way. I pulled together some new projects this week and it feels great to get my hands inky again! The best thing about a break is all the fun ideas suddenly swirling in my head. I hope to execute on them before I forget!

So today I have a 2-pager. If you are a regular and instantly thought Europe travel layout, you would be right! Seems like the only time I do a double page spread these days is when I’m working on this album.

This layout will be included in the Paris section of my Europe album. All of the ephemera (Louvre map, ticket, etc..) is included on a different Paris summary layout already — along with more extensive journaling — so this page is all about the photos.

I used a Scrapbook Generation sketch for this one. I cut the flower embellishments with my Silhouette. The papers are from an older American Crafts line. I’ve been hoarding them for far too long! I also dug out some of my decorative brads with pearls. I often forget to pull out the pretty ones, so I was happy that everything came together so beautifully.

Did you watch the Golden Globes last night? I didn’t know they were on – I don’t pay much attention to those things – but I did have it on in the background for a bit and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were cracking me up. But I had to switch it over when Downton Abbey came on. I do have my TV watching priorities straight. The long wait for season 3 is over!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. So jealous. I’m out of town right now and Downton Abbey is filling up my DVR. Thank goodness none of my friends have spoiled the first two episodes for me yet!
