10 Things | November 2011

It’s the 10th of the month so it’s time for another 10 things. Since it’s the month of gratitude and Thanksgiving, (and I have been feeling anything but lately) I thought it was time create a list of things that are making me smile right now.

1. I made this the other day. So yummy!

I have discovered the best recipes via Pinterest!

2. Holiday Card Boot Camp started this week. So much inspiration!

Love their classes, I always learn so much! And it inspires me to create really cool stuff.

3. I’ve been trying to do more yoga lately.

This is my favorite yoga workout. I always feel so good when it’s over, so you can’t help but want to do it. This is the time of year when I usually stop working out and just relax, enjoy the holidays. This year? I’m pushing forward with my morning cardio and yoga a few times a week. No gaining 10 pounds over the holidays this year!

4. I’m so glad Philosophy brought Snow Angel back this year.

This is one of my most favorite Philosophy scents ever. I don’t even know how to describe it – it’s a light, fresh scent – not fruity, not exactly floral – but it’s also not at all like the Graces (which do not appeal to me). It’s very a very soothing scent and perfect for a hot shower after a long day at work. The lotion is thick and creamy and equally soothing to dry winter skin.

5. These guys are recording a new album to be released next year.

New music from a favorite band not only makes me smile, it makes me giddy! I’m a fan from way back to our mutual days in Orlando. Good times at the Sapphire Supper Club in the mid-90’s. I see a summer concert or two in my future.

6. Just discovered this new SoBe Life Water:

Probably not for everyone. Coconut is something you either love or you hate. I love it so these sounded intriguing. I really like both of them and the Mango Mandarin. Sometimes I need something with more kick than water, while trying to lay off the soda. These work for me!

7. Season 5 of Chuck finally started!

So sad that this is the final season. I love that Chuck!

8. I’ve been working on a new afghan.

Are you loving the hexagon? I found the pattern on some Hobby Lobby yarn. This time of year I’m either cross-stitching or crocheting while I’m catching up with the DVR or Netflix. Because I can’t be paper crafting all the time, much as I’d like to.

9. I splurged and picked up this awesome stamp for Christmas card making:

It will make excellent backgrounds for Christmas cards this year. Which reminds me, I really need to get working on that this weekend…

10. Only 8 more sleeps until the vampire wedding of the year!

I never wanted to read these books. I vaguely knew what they were about, but vampire teens have never been high on my list of interests. But now I commute two hours every day and listening to books on my iPhone keeps me sane. Twilight was available in the audio download section from my library, so I started listening.  And I got hooked. I’ve been looking forward to this movie for three whole weeks now! But why is part 2 an entire year away????

So, what’s making you smile right now?

I am linking up with Shimelle.com today. Go here to check out more lists of 10 things!

Thanks for stopping by today!

    • Well, we are closer now than when I lived in Spokane. 😛 Yes, we could totally make it a fun girls night out…if it weren’t for that distance thing. I’ll probably have to go by myself too, so don’t feel bad. I won’t make it opening weekend but maybe over Thanksgiving weekend. And I love a lot of the 0 calorie SoBe waters. Really helps to drink something flavored when you are craving a soda.

  20. I just discovered your blog…not sure how, but I’m so glad I found it because you have great posts! I’ve read all your posts and I especially like the Use Your Stash series. I’m a scrapbooker/hoarder and really need to use up or let go many of my things. By the way, I belong to the Alabama Scrappers facebook group and a bunch of us are planning a day trip to Archiver’s in Nashville. Have you visited it yet?
