10 Things | January 2012

Well, I’m certainly hoping the second week of January goes a little more smoothly than the first. I caught a cold right before New Year’s and have been sick ever since. My efforts to Move More and Eat Well took a back seat the entire week as I didn’t eat much of anything and spent more time on the couch than off. But I will get back on track when I’m feeling human again.

Instead of typical resolutions (which I don’t really like anyway) this year, I thought I would approach this new year with some ideas of what I want to do more of and what I can do better. For my 10 on the Tenth this month, here’s a list of ideas to make it a great 2012 (and thanks to Pinterest’s endless supply, I was able to find photos and artwork for each!):

1. Move more

2. Eat more veggies

3. Stop drinking diet soda.

4. More music, less TV

5. Create more meaningful scrapbook pages

6. Keep up with Project Life

7. Spend less time on Pinterest (Except for projects like this this list!)

8. Read more books

9. Journal — in a notebook — every week

10. Have more patience

  4. Great list, I love the Pinterest quote, so true! I’ve never been able to handle diet soda, the after taste is just not to my liking. So mostly it’s water, and the occasional Coke. Thanks for the reminder about patience, not my strong suit, either.

  5. Great list – they all ring very true for me too! I am with you – I’m not so much as a resolution-maker as I am a goal-setter. Good luck getting them all done!

  8. Wow. I think I could have written this list. My husband suffered severe burns on his hands on Christmas Eve and life hasn’t been the same since, so starting the new year with all of the gusto for change hasn’t really hit me yet as he and I are taking it one day at time while he heals – so I can completely understand not starting week one due to illness. Everything else you stated is something that I need to do as well. Thanks for sharing. If I hadn’t already written my list – I think I would have borrowed yours. LOL.

  13. Great list & goals Tammy. I’m trying to cut back on my Coca-Colas, too. I’m not really trying to stop all together, I just don’t want to be drinking them all the time. So far I’ve only had 3 since we stepped off the cruise ship the morning of January 2nd.

And patience, well, we can probably all use a little of that!
